You don’t need to be a professional racing driver to experience a professionally organised race event in the drivers seat. The Elite Grand Prix is one of the most popular and sought after events at Apex Kart, having run it for nearly 30 years we can guarantee hours of action packed karting, competitiveness and fun! With practice races, point scoring heats, semi-finals and a grand final look no further, the Elite Grand Prix here at Apex Kart is one to remember. Stag do’s, hen do’s, birthdays and special occasions, this is the perfect racing event for large groups.
Upon arrival, all drivers must sign in
You will be provided with a Kart suit to change into
All drivers are give a full safety briefing
Final safety checks are carried out by our trained marshals
Get used to the karts and track layout in your practice race
Each driver will take part in 5 point scoring race heats
The top 15 point scoring drivers proceed to the Semi-Finals
The overall top 6 drivers proceed to the Grand Final
Awards ceremony with trophies & bubbly for the champion
All drivers must be a minimum of 16 years old. Karting is not recommended for persons with heart problems, epilepsy or other conditions which may be affected by exertion (including pregnancy). Particularly tall, short or heavier drivers may have problems fitting into the karts. We recommend a maximum height of 6’5”/195cm and a maximum weight of 19 stone/120kg.
From 1 – 1.5 hours or more depending on your group size and event timings. Please note these are rough estimations.
The Formula 1 Grand Prix is a private event which means you will not be sharing the track with other groups. If you would like to explore other event options that include private use of our circuit please check out Private time attack options on the booking page
To avoid any possible delays and ensure everyone is ready to race on time, we ask all drivers to arrive 30 minutes prior to their booking time. Any drivers turning up after the safety briefing has started may not be allowed to race.
Any event here at Apex Kart must be booked in advance online or over the phone. All bookings must be made with a minimum deposit of £10 per driver (non-refundable). We cannot hold or book slots without a deposit. You have 7 days Prior to any booking made to make ammendments, any day after that then you would be required to pay for what is booked not what arrives.
